In this exercise, you will be introduced to the basic structure of a content model in XML. You will start to build a new model and deploy it using a model context file.

This exercise is designed for Business Analysts, Systems Administrators, Developers and anyone who need the essential understanding of how to build a content model. In this exercise we will start building a new content model in XML using a pre-defined scenario. In future exercises we will continue to build on this model by adding types, properties, aspects, constraints and associations.  

At the end of this exercise you should be able to: 

  • Define the basic structure of a content model. 
  • Add the name, description, and namespace parameters.
  • Create and define imports to other models.
  • Deploy your model using a model context file.
