About this lesson

This lesson is built for Business Analysts, Systems Administrators, and Developers who need the essential understanding of the content modeling fundamental concepts. In this lesson we start with the foundation of content modeling which is the Content Metamodel. Before continuing on in the lesson we discuss how the Alfresco Content Services Repository stores content so that you can relate the content modeling concepts to a content repository. We then proceed to break-down the fundamental elements of content modeling such as Properties, Types, Constraints, Aspects and then we finish with Associations. This lesson is not specific to Alfresco Content Services or Alfresco Content Model Manager rather it focuses on the fundamental concepts of content modeling.

At the end of this lesson you should be able to:

  • Discuss the concepts of content modeling.
  • Identify the elements of a content model.
  • Describe how content modeling works in conjunction with a content repository.
