Content Model Manager
This course builds upon Alfresco content models by introducing students to the new Graphical User Interface for content models introduced in Alfresco version 5.1. With this new interface the creation, editing and deployment of custom content models has been greatly simplified.
This course will introduce you to Alfresco Content Model Manager User Interface (UI). This UI enables not only Software Developers to quickly build and define a Content Model, but also is intuitive enough for a Business Analyst to create one as well. This is a feature-rich UI that enables the creator to create a model, define custom Content Types, Aspects, Properties, and Constraints. Features such as Exporting, and Importing of Model Manager Content Models are available, and a virtual "flip-of-the-switch" option to Activate or Deactivate a model is new to Alfresco Content Modeling as well.
Alfresco University’s Model Manager module will step you through some of the basics of designing a Content Model, applying your designed model to a new Content Model in the UI and creating Custom Types, Aspects, defining Properties for those Types and Aspects, and applying Constraints. There are a multitude of demonstrations with Student Labs that are geared toward familiarity of each subject and their various options. A simulated pre-designed model is available so that all you have to do is sit back watch, apply values in the UI during the Labs and enjoy the Model Manager learning experience!
