APS Logging Configuration Exercise

An exercise that demonstrates customized logging configuration in APS.

About this course

This exercise is built for Systems Administrators who need the essential understanding of the default logging, and how to customize logging within APS. APS installed in Docker is utilized for the various tasks within this exercise. The student will identify and define the standard default APS log file location and the format of the log message levels contained in the default log file. Next, the student will customize logging utilizing Apache Log4J, for specific log message levels. Following the configuration of custom log files, the student will “break” APS and use the new custom log configuration to identify the source of the “break” within APS.
